5 Advantages of Being Silent, Sometimes

Unsaid Story Picture

Silence is the loudest voice everyone could have heard.

It defines almost anything possible if I must say, it could mean positive or negative impressions to anyone but regardless of reasons, being silent- sometimes, has advantages.

As I journey, so far, I have observed 5 advantages of it:

1. Away from disputes

There are some instances that we find ourselves into a disagreement with someone and it's never been bad to express and defend our sides, BUT after that we should know when to stop, listen and observe. Unless, you are a type of person who wants debate then don't let the course down!

Always remember to put in mind, pause for sometimes, know the main  cause of dispute, reflect, empathize and speak, for realization comes after silence.

2. Productive /Creative Thinking

When we get silent, there are number of things usually appear into our minds- plans, ideas and often solutions to our known problems. The thing is, the formulation of different and creative things comes when in silence and that make sure to have a pen and a paper always ready in your pockets otherwise a note, installed in your phone.

3. Retain Relationship

Toleration and being silent are somehow synonyms in my perspective.
We tolerate unfairness, we tolerate pain , and we tolerate exploitation. Sadly but fortunately, it retains relationship with the one causing such hardships. Sarcastic isn't it?

4. Healthy Mind and Body

Unless you think dirty, being silent helps number of ways for our mind and body to be healthy and in some means, it can:

- Improve Memory
- Stimulate Brain Growth
- Relieves Stress
- Fights insomnia
- Heightens Sensitivity

5. Security

Often, due to over-expressiveness, we tend to share almost everything in our daily lives.
From the food we eat, from the travel we take and sometimes from the very personal things we possess. Silence doesn't only come from zipping our mouth but also by minimizing our expressiveness in social media, like facebook and twitter.

As you update your family and friends with your daily whereabouts, criminals could also see this to learn your schedule. They can figure out when you tend to be away from your home to stage a break-in

Being silent is indeed, in other way around, beneficial.
Only Speak when needed and speak with wisdom.
As by Frank Ocean: Work in silence let  your success be your noise.
